About

At a young age, Madison spent a lot of her time watching CNN with her grandmother. Immediately, Madison was interested in what was going on throughout the world. As she grew up, she kept her mind open and was continuously learning by watching documentaries about true crime, climate change, politics, and history.

In 2013 Madison traveled to Ecuador with Me to We to learn about local culture and help to support local communities. Spending time in Quito, the Andes and the Amazon, Madison and her team helped build a bathroom for a local school. When she returned to Canada, she was eager to show her family and friends what she had learned.

Sports have always been a big part of Madison’s life. Throughout high school she joined any team she could. Soccer, flag football, volleyball, track and field, you name it, she was a part of it. Outside of school, she was a part of a high level soccer team, and also played broomball seasonally which she still plays to this day. Madison has been able to travel to other countries around the world representing Ontario and Canada in multiple World and European Broomball Championship tournaments.

Still passionate about media, history, and global affairs, Madison was eager to apply to a post secondary school for journalism . Madison was then accepted into the journalism program at Mohawk College and studied there for 3 years earning her advanced diploma and graduating with honours.

While in college, Madison continued to be a leader in her school community by becoming a peer tutor and playing on the Mohawk Mountaineers varsity soccer team. As a peer tutor, Madison helped students with essay writing, English assignments, and also helped ESL students facilitating a reading and writing club. With this experience, Madison was able to become a ESL teacher at Muskoka Language International. With MLI, Madison traveled to Japan in 2016 to teach students English and about Canadian culture.

After graduating college, Madison got her foot in the door when Bell Media gave her the opportunity to work as a news reporter at Kicx 106 (Pure Country) in Orillia, 104.1 The Dock (Bounce) in Midland, Kicx 91.7 in Sudbury, and 92.3 The Dock in Owen Sound.

Shortly after that, Madison became a member of the Innisfilm Project in Innisfil, where the community group creates short films.

Moving forward in her career, in early 2019 Madison became part of the all news radio 680 News team working as an anchor and reporter in the heart of downtown Toronto. You can still hear her on the radio today, as she casually reports for the station.

But most recently, after reporting, hosting and producing at Rogers Tv Barrie as a volunteer, Madison has become a full time member of the Rogers Tv team as a producer.
